Message to Space

Sending a message to an exoplanet provides a unique context in which a teacher (or parent) can frame questions that cross almost all discipline areas, including social science, art, history along with what might be perceived as the ‘usual’ disciplines within science and engineering.

“If we discover intelligent life beyond earth, should we reply, and if so, what should we say?”

Message to Space takes you through:

  • How to decide where to send a message in the hope that it reaches extraterrestrial life
  • The barriers to getting the message there
  • What kind of message to send

Finally you have the chance to send your own message to your chosen star and track the message as it makes its way to its destination.
