Ireland’s National Competition is now under way, and will finish during Space Week 2019 with the closing entry date of Oct 10th 2019. After final validation by the IAU100 NameExoWorlds Steering Committee, the global results will be announced in December 2019. The winning names will be used freely in parallel with the existing scientific nomenclature, with due credit to the persons that proposed them.
To ensure a valid entry to the competition, please read the naming rules before submitting.
The personal data we collect is for the sole purpose of contacting the persons or entities who submitted entries to the Irish selection committee.
For any persons under the age of 16 years, you must get parental / guardian permission prior to entering the competition.
This data will be retained throughout the competition period and will be deleted at the time the competition ends.
